The Legacy Society honors individuals who protect the people and places they love by providing future support to Conservation Alabama Foundation through a planned gift. Leave a legacy of a beautiful and healthy Alabama by making a gift to Conservation Alabama Foundation in your will, trust, donor advised fund, brokerage account, or retirement fund.

+ Will or Trust

One of the best ways to protect and preserve Alabama’s natural resources for future generations is by leaving a gift to Conservation Alabama Foundation in your will or trust.

You may choose to take care of family first and name us to receive a specific amount or percentage of your estate. Alternatively, you may consider naming us as a contingent beneficiary, so Conservation Alabama Foundation is next in line to receive a gift after your loved ones. Simply discuss your wishes with your attorney or estate professional and provide our legal name and tax identification number:

The following sample language can be used to leave a gift in your will or trust:

“I hereby give and bequeath $_, or _ percent of the residue of my estate to Conservation Alabama Foundation, a nonprofit Alabama corporation exempt from Federal taxation under Section 501(c)3 of the the Internal Revenue Code, Federal tax ID number 20-8420116.”

+ Account Beneficiary

You may also include Conservation Alabama Foundation as a beneficiary of retirement accounts, brokerage accounts, or donor advised funds.

Check your account statement for the phone number and website of your account administrator, and request or download a beneficiary designation form. You may designate Conservation Alabama Foundation as a partial, contingent, or sole beneficiary of your account. Then, simply sign and return the form to your plan administrator and keep a copy for your files.
