Conservation Alabama Foundation builds the ability of Alabama's citizens to promote conservation through government and civic action. We provide the tools necessary for citizens to follow conservation issues in our state and communicate with elected officials about the issues most important to them. We work to achieve this mission in a number of ways:

Serve as a reliable resource for Alabamians and policymakers from city halls across the state to the State House and Congress. We work to provide constituents and elected leaders with information, direction, and guidance on how to implement and advocate for policies that protect our environment and our communities.

Increase voter turnout and civic engagement. Through targeted outreach efforts, especially to Alabamians in rural or low-income communities, we work to improve community engagement and statewide voter participation, encourage new voter registration, and conduct advocacy trainings. Engaging and mobilizing new voters is crucial to broaden our base of conservation advocates and ensure our work is reflective of our state’s diverse population.

Lead innovative education campaigns to help shape how decision makers and the general public view and act on clean energy and public lands. We communicate with Alabamians using a variety of tactics, showcasing the decisions of elected leaders and encouraging constituents to express their informed opinions directly to their elected representatives.

Advocate for conservation with the power that comes from a broad and robust Conservation Voter Movement made up of thousands of Alabamians who stand ready to take action for our environment.
